Who makes the best Hampers?

There are a number of hamper providers that make amazing gifts to cover a wide range of giving occasions. Many have been around for over 40 years, such as Virginia Hayward, as well as a number of smaller players, such as ourselves who have been trading since the late 2010’s.

The aformentioned Virginia Hayward is generally regarding as the leading hamper company in the mid range hamper market. Companies such as Fortnum and Mason are regarded as classic hamper companies, however their reputation has taken a battering over the last few years with a wide range of logistical and delivery problems which takes them out of the running in an overall scoring.

Marks & Spencer are also highly regarded, however the recent security breach and issues with ordering mean a lot of people are losing confidence in them as a reliable partner.

Clearwater Hampers are another medium sized hamper company, however they have moved the majority of their sales through Amazon, and are looking quite poor value for money after Amazon fees and delivery is taking into account (There is just no way to send a hamper for free, they are too large and heavy). 

Virginia Hayward is primarily a B2B hamper company, catering for large orders and has an enviable customer base, including a large percentage of FTSE 100 companies. Regency are a strange company that I cannot really get any decent read of. Their selection is a mixed bag, but look like they use quite low value items and packaging.

Other contenders include Hay Hampers and Prestige Hampers, however the range offered by these are not really worth considering as they are not very good value for money, and the apparent discounts are ridiculous (it looks like they inflate the RRP to a silly level then discount to a more normal price)
